Job Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor of Patient Access, this position facilitates the patients' access into the hospital and clinical systems by providing registration, admission, and bed assignment services while protecting the fiscal interest of the hospital.

Minimum Qualifications

  Education

   High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  Experience

   Minimum one to three years of Registration, Hospital Billing required.

  Licensure and/or Certification

   Certified Healthcare Access Associate, preferred

  Skills

   Knowledge of third party payors.

   Knowledge of Medicare billing practices and regulations.

   Insurance verifications experience.

   Knowledge of Insurance billing practices.

   Computer proficiency.

   Excellent interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with all organizational levels, with demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work accurately with detailed confidential information. Must have the ability to read, write and communicate in English.

   Ability to maintain confidential information.
