Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Pay: $60K-$90K DOE
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm

Job Description: The Buyer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing process, ensuring the timely acquisition of high-quality finished goods and services at competitive prices. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving efficiency in purchasing operations. This role will be purchasing within the Retail space, so a minimum of 4 years of experience purchasing specifically within Retail will be required.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Manage supplier relationships, evaluating performance and ensuring adherence to contracts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including the Accounting and Sales teams.
  • Oversee the purchase order process, from creation to delivery confirmation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast future procurement requirements.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in purchasing.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in purchasing experience within wholesale or distribution, preferably in finished goods
  • Background purchasing within a Retail environment is required.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics is a big plus, or a similar ERP software.
  • Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and vlookups.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
