Job Opportunity

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a company based in Beaverton, OR, to hire a skilled Buyer to join their team. This role focuses on purchasing finished goods within the retail sector and requires strong collaboration with sales teams and brand vendors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in retail buying and the ability to manage large orders and vendor relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the sales team and brand vendors to coordinate purchasing for various brands.
  • Manage the logistics of bringing products into the warehouse, including placing purchase orders for large quantities.
  • Negotiate terms and rework contracts as necessary.
  • Problem-solve issues related to inventory discrepancies, such as missing pallets, in collaboration with vendors.
  • Work with accounting on invoicing and resolving discrepancies.
  • Utilize MS Dynamics and Excel to manage SKU numbers and box dimensions.
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of purchasing experience, specifically in retail buying.
  • Experience purchasing finished goods for resale; internal procurement experience is not preferred.
  • Familiarity with working with external vendors, ideally in the supply chain industry.
  • Mandarin language skills are a plus, but not required.
  • Self-starter mentality; comfortable seeking guidance and asking questions.
