Job Title: Project Revenue Accountant

Job Description:

We are seeking a Project Revenue Accountant to join our team. Responsibilities include:

  • Recording and updating data in our project and cost accounting financial system.
  • Analyzing and reporting budget to actual cost variances per project.
  • Monitoring changes in project design, raw materials, or manufacturing methods to ascertain cost impacts.
  • Collaborating with operations, engineering, and other teams to track project progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assisting with licensing and registration for projects in new jurisdictions.
  • Conducting monthly project reviews to ensure cost and completion alignment.
  • Preparing monthly closing journal entries and reconciliating revenue accounts.
  • Providing administrative support to the Revenue Accounting Manager as needed.
  • Utilizing Accounting Software Systems, ERP solutions, and Microsoft Excel for task execution.
  • Managing accounts receivable duties such as processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and managing customer accounts.

Successful candidates should be detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities, be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and have excellent communication skills. Knowledge of accounting principles and extensive experience with Excel is required.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting Functions, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accrual Accounting, Auditing, and Billing Functions.

• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Proven ability to manage detailed financial transactions, ensure accuracy, and meet deadlines.

• Solid understanding of construction industry's specific accounting principles and financial regulations.

• Excellent communication skills for clear and concise reporting to management and stakeholders.

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a plus.

• Evidence of continuous learning and upskilling in the accounting field.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to identify errors and discrepancies in financial data.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage relationships with external auditors and vendors.

• Demonstrated ethical behavior and confidentiality of sensitive information.
