We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent communication skills.

Job Description:
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining and processing the company's financial transactions related to accounts payable. Your key duties will include ensuring accurate and timely payment processing, reconciling vendor statements, and providing support to the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Enter invoice data into the accounting system.
  • Match purchase orders with invoices and ensure proper authorization.
  • Handle payment inquiries from vendors and resolve discrepancies.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and ensure all outstanding payments are made in a timely manner.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records.
  • Assist with financial reporting as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or accounting support.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel (experience with [insert specific software, if applicable, such as QuickBooks, SAP, etc.]).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle a high volume of transactions.
