Job Summary:
RPh on the Go is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician on a contract basis for our Virginia Beach, VA location. The successful candidate will support the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications, managing pharmacy operations, and delivering excellent patient care. This contract position is ideal for a pharmacy technician looking for flexibility while gaining experience in a dynamic pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of medications.
Accurately enter prescription orders into the pharmacy management system.
Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to ensure timely prescription processing and resolve any issues.
Provide patient support by answering questions related to medications, dosage, and potential side effects.
Manage inventory, including ordering and stocking medications and ensuring proper storage.
Process insurance claims and handle prior authorizations as needed.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and company policies.
Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workspace.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Active Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
Valid pharmacy technician license for the state of Virginia.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in a retail or outpatient setting.
Proficiency with pharmacy management software.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
