We are seeking a Configuration & Change Management Specialist to join our team in Reading, Pennsylvania. The role involves managing and reviewing BOM structures, ensuring data accuracy, coordinating change implementation plans, and working with various teams using different Product Lifecycle Management and Enterprise Resource Planning systems. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.


Responsibilities:

• Review and maintain the integrity of BOM structures, ensuring they follow proper structure and all major components have a GL number assigned.

• Ensure the naming of parts, documents, BOMs, and data is accurate and as per requirement.

• Coordinate and facilitate Change Review Board meetings and Change Implementation Plans.

• Assist in meeting the New Product Introduction gate deliverables as per procedure.

• Monitor and manage the Problem Report process and other necessary follow-on processes.

• Verify the accuracy of BOM translation into downstream databases like ERP and ensure all information from ERP that needs to be reflected in Product Lifecycle Management is accurately done.

• Work towards improving the process leveraging the CMII principles with the impacted stakeholders and system administrators.

• Attend Project Team Meetings and communicate necessary actions.

• Oversee the Deviation workflow process and collaborate with appropriate functions to create a Change Request if necessary.

• Create and update departmental procedures and ensure they are properly reflected in affected documentation like procedures, work instructions, training material etc.

• Understand the unique Manufacturing data publishing/sharing requirements and processes outside of Product Lifecycle Management.

• Report the health of the Release and Change processes to appropriate functions.

• Ability to work with several groups using different Product Lifecycle Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, and various databases throughout the organization while using different procedures.

• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering.
• Proven experience in Configuration and Change Management.
• Proficient in SAP and SolidWorks software.
• Exceptional knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with an analytical mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes is a plus.
• Prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
