Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a contract for a Tax Preparer role in the financial industry, located in Rockwall, Texas. This role involves a range of accounting tasks, including tax preparation for different types of entities, cleaning up financial statements, and reconciliation of bank accounts. The workplace is dynamic and requires usage of various accounting software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Handle tax preparation tasks for S Corp, C Corp, Individual, and Partnership Returns.
• Utilize accounting software systems, including QuickBooks Online and Drake Tax Software, to streamline processes.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Perform bank account reconciliations to verify the company's transactions align with the bank statements.
• Clean up financial statements to maintain transparent and accurate financial records.
• Leverage Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze data effectively.
• Engage in customer service duties, processing queries and providing timely responses.
• Conduct data entry tasks, ensuring the accuracy of information.
• Review and prepare balance sheets, ensuring they accurately reflect the company's financial status.
• Monitor and manage payroll taxes and prepare income tax as required.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Tax Preparer

• Proficiency in Drake Tax Software

• Understanding of Accounting Functions and Allowances

• Knowledge of Deductibles

• Proficient in Tax Preparation and Corporate Tax Return

• Experience with Federal Taxes and Federal Tax Return

• Proficient in preparing Income Tax Return

• Knowledge of Local Tax, and Partnership Tax

• Experience with Payroll Tax Returns and Payroll Taxes

• Proficient in preparing Balance Sheets and Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

• Ability to Analyze Financial Statements and prepare Financial Statement

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations, Monthly Bank Reconciliation, and Cash Reconciliations

• Knowledge of Year-end Tax

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas

• Experience with Drake Software - Tax Solution

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong attention to detail
