We are on the lookout for a motivated and customer-service-oriented individual to join our team as a Building Materials Sales Support specialist. In this role, you will be the linchpin that connects our products with the professionals who use them, providing vital support to our sales team and ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality service. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in the selection of building materials and products based on their project needs.
  • Provide detailed information on product specifications, pricing and availability
  • Process sales orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all necessary information is collected and entered into the system.
  • Offer support to the sales team by preparing quotes, samples, and product information for client meetings.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure adequate stock for high-demand materials.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly, providing effective solutions and excellent customer service.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, new products, and advancements in building materials.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to obtain product information and negotiate pricing when necessary.
  • Ability to learn product knowledge to assist the customer in buying decisions.
  • Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Related sales experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of building materials and construction industry preferred, can train the right candidate
  • Willing to learn computer software as needed
  • Ability to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Able to problem solve, multitask, and prioritize as needed.
