Medical Receptionist

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors.

  • Answer phones, screening, and routing calls as needed, create phone notes in the patient electronic medical record, and/or providing information to patients.

  • Schedule provider appointments correctly and accurately.

  • Obtain prior authorization as needed, for referral orders and documents the authorization status in medical record.

  • Collect patient account balances, co-insurance, and copays, deductibles or estimates self-pay rates; prepares daily batch, deposits, etc.

  • Schedule patients for follow-up office visits or procedures, log no-show appointments; assists in scanning.

  • Maintain and organize lobby area

  • Assist with proper routing of incoming faxes and documents.

  • Maintain medical records.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years as a medical receptionist or similar role.

  • Knowledge in insurance verification and authorizations.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

  • Experience with practice management software.

  • Schedule flexibility to include extended hours coverage Monday through Saturday.

Location: Chandler, AZ 85226

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am -5pm



Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
