Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join our team. The primary role involves visual inspection of the final product, ensuring attention to quality and detail. The ideal candidate should have experience as a machine operator and a manufacturing background. This role requires loading large spools of cable and adjusting the machine as needed, following the production schedule each day, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct visual inspections of the final product.
  • Ensure high attention to quality and detail.
  • Operate machinery and adjust settings as needed.
  • Load large spools of cable into the machine.
  • Follow the production schedule daily.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs as required.
  • Work on various types of machines such as rewinders and wire formers.
Essential Skills
  • Machine operating experience.
  • Manufacturing background.
  • Mechanical inclination.
  • Quality control and assurance.
  • Proficient in visual inspection and quality checks.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.

Work Environment

Our Client is a privately held wire and cable manufacturing company. The work involves handling various machinery such as rewinders and wire formers, operating in a fast-paced environment with wire being fed into machines at 1200-1500 feet per minute. Employees work a third shift from 11pm-7am. The company is expanding production with the recent acquisition of two new buildings. They serve multiple markets including Power Generation, Substation Control, Renewable Energy, Commercial Construction, and more.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bensenville, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.25
