LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a company in the Kansas City Metro area that is needing interim support. This role is contract only.

Essential Duties:

Accounts Payable:

  • Collaborate with the Accounting Clerk to ensure all payables are accurately entered and paid timely.

  • Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts payable data.

  • Manage vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal ID numbers, scheduling and preparing A/P checks, resolving payment discrepancies, ensuring credit for outstanding memos, and issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments.

  • Accurately charge expenses to the correct GL accounts and appropriate dimensions (location, program, funding source, and grant line items).

  • Follow the month-end closing checklist and obtain final approval from the Accounting Supervisor.

  • Prepare adjusting/closing A/P journal entries.

  • Ensure all accrued, deferred, and prepaid accounts are reconciled monthly.

  • Reconcile petty cash and credit card transactions.

  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

  • Perform other accounts payable duties as necessary.

Credit Cards:

  • Ensure credit cards are correctly coded and supported with proper receipts through bi-monthly monitoring procedures.

  • Import all credit card transactions into Intacct accounting software at month-end and address any un-coded or unsupported expenditures.

  • Serve as the liaison for issuing new cards, collecting old cards, and monitoring/adjusting credit limits for personnel.

  • Perform other credit card duties as necessary.

Grant Management:

  • Manage grant financials and compliance for select federal and state grants, in collaboration with the Accounting Manager and Director of Finance.

  • Work with the Accounting Manager to create and produce grant/contract financials monthly, quarterly, annually, and as needed.

  • Create and maintain grant analysis documents, such as staff coverage spreadsheets and uncovered cost documents.

  • Calculate and create necessary accrual entries for salaries, benefits, and other expenses at grant year-ends.

  • Meet with agency personnel to manage assigned grants, produce forecasts for remaining funds, ensure all grant expenditures are properly recorded, and ensure grants are billed timely.

  • Perform other grant duties as necessary.

Pay: $25 - $28/HR



Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
