Job Description

This position is based in a shop that builds high-quality, custom-engineered industrial control panels in a fast-paced, Lean manufacturing environment. The company serves a variety of industries, including packaging, pharmaceutical, and water/wastewater plants. Engineers design the products and how the panels should be assembled. The setup department works off the diagram to set all the pieces up on the board, ensuring everything fits as per the provided diagram, making changes if needed. The panels then move to the wiring department where our contractors work.

Responsibilities
  • Wire control panels on a daily basis using blueprints and ladder diagrams.
  • Gather all necessary wires for the project and complete the panels with the required amount of supplies.
  • Learn and adhere to the specific wiring and assembly methods required by the company.
  • Use various hand tools and assist in the fabrication of the actual electrical cabinets.
  • Perform installation and soldering tasks as needed.
Essential Skills
  • Experience with control panel wiring.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and ladder diagrams.
  • Proficiency with various hand tools and power tools.
  • Mechanical assembly skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in Electrical/Electronic from institutions like Ranken or ITT preferred.
  • Open to entry-level candidates with relevant working knowledge from school.
  • Experience in production environments.

Work Environment

The work environment is climate-controlled. The first shift operates from 5:30am to 2pm. The dress code includes jeans and a t-shirt with closed shoes, avoiding any loose or hanging clothing for safety reasons.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00
