LHH has a well-known client in Kennewick, WA who is looking for a Travel Medical Receptionist on a contract opportunity

The primary thing they’re looking for is anyone who has experience in Athena. They’ll take any experience levels, though a minimum of one year is preferred. The shifts will be 8a-4:30p
JOB SUMMARY
Safety Sensitive Position
Perform front medical desk procedures that include answering telephones, greeting the patients, entering patient demographics in the computer, scheduling appointments, and chart assemble, filing, completing forms, collecting payments and a variety of general office duties including medical records and switchboard Reports to: Director of Unit Assigned
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Ensures that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy. Distributes and explain forms, documents, and educational handouts to patients or family members. Meets with patient or patient's caregiver before or after admission to exchange necessary information and documentation. Provides explanation of process and addresses concerns and questions.
· Communicates with admitting physician's office, nursing unit staff, and/or other appropriate personnel regarding admission to exchange necessary information and determine placement. Verifies insurance benefits and obtains precertification/authorization as necessary. Determines and accepts requirements, including co-pays and deductibles, or refers to financial counselors for follow-up.
· Greets the patients and maintains direct eye contract for excellent customer service Answer the telephone and effectively assist all customers/patients. Gathers demographic information and enters/updates in computer system. Conducts intake activities with respect for patient's privacy and rights
· Listens attentively to patients and /or parents or caregiver.
· Reacts in positive helpful manner to questions or inquiries Interacts with waiting patients to keep them apprised of delays Notifies clinical staff of patients delays and cancellations Assist co-workers during heavy workloads and during absences willingly
· Accurately completes and verifies patients charges on fee slips Answers telephone and effectively assists customer transfers, take clear messages, spells correctly and uses proper2grammarOversee cash payment and accurately applies payment to patient accounts Balances cash at end of day for deposit.
Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
