PDS Tech Commercial, Inc is currently hiring for a Aerospace Fabrication Specialist position in North Charleston, SC

Job Title: Aerospace Fabrication Specialist

Job Type: Full Time; Consultant (12 Months)

Location: North Charleston, SC - 100% Onsite

Shift: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Shifts

Pay Rate: 26.40 per hour

Job Description:

  • Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks.

  • Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks.

  • Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.

  • Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains.

  • Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.

  • Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.

  • Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests. Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.

  • Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.

  • Works on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements.

Required Qualifications (Experience/Skills):

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).

  • 6 months+ experience with Manufacturing, Fabrication and Aviation.

  • 6 months+ experience/proficiency with typical hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, etc.) Use of high impact vibratory tools.

  • 6 months+ of experience with pneumatic/hydraulic equipment.

  • 6 months+ of experience/ability to perform computer searches to look up/read/comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications.

  • 6 months+ of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications.

  • Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals.

  • Conventional material layup, precision measuring, power, pneumatic and hand tools.

  • CNC experience.

  • Crane Operations experience.

  • Experience reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, material processes, schematic and diagrams in aviation.



Pay Details: 26.40 per hour
