Responsibilities:
• Oversee and ensure the accurate processing and recording of financial transactions such as Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Cash Receipts, Billing, Cash disbursements, Contract Administration, and Payroll.
• Supervise and develop the accounting staff, including staff development initiatives.
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), including bank and payroll functions.
• Conduct month-end closing of various accounting software modules and associated general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, including divisional financials, and work in process reports (WIP).
• Maintain accounting records, including the General Ledger (GL).
• Manage fixed assets and monitor daily cash reports from bank and internal dashboards.
• Assist with budget and projection preparation.
• Liaise with external auditors, providing necessary audit schedules and data.
• Oversee audits from state and municipalities, insurance, and workers’ compensation entities.
• Monitor company expenses to ensure they align with company policies.
• Develop expertise in company software systems, particularly Spectrum accounting software, and train accounting and non-accounting staff on its proper use.
• Resolve any accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Advise internal staff on the correct application of various sales and use tax regulations.
• Act as the primary advisor for all accounting and accounting software questions or issues.
• Undertake other projects as assigned.
The salary range for this position is $140k to $160k. Benefits available with this position include medical, dental and vision; life and disability insurances; participation in the company’s 401(k) plan with a match and 15 days of paid vacation & sick time (negotiable) and 10 paid holidays per calendar year.

• Ability to formulate an Annual Financial Plan

• Extensive knowledge of General Accounting
• Experience in Financial Reporting
