Job Summary:

This position for our Lincoln Park La-Z-Boy Showroom will be the first point of contact for customers and will set the tone for a memorable experience with La-Z-Boy. This role will provide the highest level of service during the greeting to bring energy and excitement to the showroom experience. This person will partner the customer with the appropriate Sales Associate to begin the personal shopping journey.

Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):

  • Greets customers with energy, fun, and excitement
  • Directs customers and introduces them to the appropriate Sales Associate
  • Facilitates tours of the showroom
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all store associates
  • Promote and champion a culture of service and design for the entire store team
  • Adhere to general store operational procedures and guidelines
  • Maintain adequate knowledge of company standards, product knowledge, and internal processes and systems
  • Attend and help facilitate team meetings
  • Replies to incoming store communication via phone or email as needed
  • Replenishes merchandise
  • Provides appropriate solutions and alternatives to customers or escalates issues
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

SCOPE & IMPACT:

Meets or exceeds performance expectations, including customer satisfaction rates, operational excellence, dependability, and schedule adherence-the ability to facilitate the resolution of customer issues with the partnership of store leadership.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED with 0-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent
  • Excellent communication, customer service skills, and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build rapport
  • Ability to work effectively and productively with others as a team
  • Ability to work the schedule and hours dictated by business needs, including evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Previous customer-facing experience

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in a retail store environment
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Office environment / no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands. Nearly continuously sit, use repetitive hand motion, hear and listen. Seldom walk.
