TMD Staffing is looking to hire a Bilingual Industrial Sewing Machine Operator in the Garland, TX area 


WORK ENVIRONMENT: In-Person

PAY RATE: $13.00 - $15.50 per hour. (Depending on Experience) 

SCHEDULE: First Shift, Full-Time; Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deciding on appropriate sewing techniques before work commences.
  • Inspecting patterns to determine each job's requirements.
  • Performing alterations to existing patterns or creating your own ones.
  • Selecting suitable thread and placing this onto the spool spin.
  • Cutting, sewing, and gluing fabric according to the requirements of each article.
  • Operating the foot pedal, plus the stitch length and width regulators, as you sew.
  • Replacing the sewing machine's needle, as required.
  • Detecting and repairing basic faults with the sewing machine as they occur.
  • Attend meetings with manager and coworker
  • Open to Cross Train in other operations 


QUALIFICATIONS

Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) to effectively perform and work with others in the facility.

  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to operating sewing machines and working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Ability to handle and manipulate fabrics efficiently.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for precise sewing
  • Familiarity with various types of sewing machines, including straight stitch, overlock, and embroidery machines.
  • Prior experience operating industrial or commercial sewing machines is preferred.
