Fabrication/Sandblaster Worker Tasks & Duties (What You'll Do)

  • Sandblasting to remove paint, rust and other material build ups from rough surfaces using specialized equipment that sprays abrasive materials.

  • Set up and operate a blast booth and similar equipment

  • Work with team members, shift supervisors and all necessary personnel to take care of complications as they arise

  • Communicate with fellow team members to learn of any equipment problems or malfunctions, and take care of them as they come up

  • Use regulated cleaning solutions, grease guns, oil cans, air hoses and cleaning cloths to properly maintain and clean equipment

  • Load and unload the blast cabinet

  • Make repairs to equipment when necessary, and replace all defective, broken or worn out components

  • Choose and install cutters, molds and all other necessary equipment parts so machines are always operating at peak efficiency

  • Ideal candidate has experience with large equipment and production sandblasting experience. This is not entry level and small parts experience is not the same scale of equipment/projects you will be working on in this position. Must have experience with large equipment and projects for this sandblasting position.

Fabrication/Sandblaster Worker Shift Info

  • Day Shift, 07:00 am to 03:30 pm

  • Monday - Friday

Fabrication/Sandblaster Worker Qualifications (Requirements / Skills)

  • Previous experience required. This is not entry level or able to train on the job

  • MUST have experience doing sandblasting for minimum of one year in production environment.

  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds

  • Able to read measurements

  • Well-organized and history of showing initiative

  • Knowledge of current OSHA safety rules and regulations

  • Familiarity with power tools

  • Able to pass a background check

  • Able to work in the US
