Position Overview:
We are seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support elementary-aged students in a dynamic school setting. This full-time position is perfect for an individual passionate about working with young children to implement behavior intervention strategies. The role includes providing 1:1 support to 3 kindergarten students and 1 first grader, assisting them with behavioral challenges and enhancing classroom engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Behavior Plans: Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement and monitor individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Classroom Support: Provide both 1:1 and group support for students to reinforce appropriate behaviors, improve social skills, and foster academic participation.
- Data Tracking: Collect and maintain detailed behavioral data to monitor progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet goals.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a consistent and effective approach for each students development.
- Support Social & Emotional Growth: Assist students in developing positive social interactions, emotional regulation skills, and other foundational behavior skills.
Requirements:
- Active RBT Certification: Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician.
- Experience in Behavior Management: A solid background in behavior intervention and working with children, especially in educational environments.
- Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support students academic and behavioral needs.
- Professional and Compassionate: A patient, understanding, and professional approach when working with students and staff.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with parents, teachers, and school administrators about student progress and needs.
