The Maintenance Supervisor is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of facilities, equipment, and machinery by overseeing and coordinating the efforts of maintenance staff. This role combines technical expertise, strategic planning, and managerial guidance to support the organization's infrastructure and operational needs.



Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management:

    • Supervise, mentor, and guide maintenance staff in their daily repair and upkeep tasks related to buildings, machinery, and other essential equipment.
    • Plan, assign, and oversee daily and long-term work schedules while ensuring optimal use of resources.

  • Systems & Process Development:

    • Design and implement maintenance systems and standard procedures to streamline workflows and ensure operational efficiency.
    • Continuously evaluate and improve maintenance practices.

  • Budget Oversight & Cost Management:

    • Manage department budgets by monitoring expenses and identifying opportunities to reduce costs without sacrificing quality or safety.
    • Oversee financial aspects of capital improvement projects and other business-related expenditures.

  • Employee Training & Technical Development:

    • Plan and lead technical training initiatives to ensure staff remain current on equipment use, maintenance best practices, and industry standards.
    • Promote a culture of safety and skill development among team members.

  • Capital Projects Coordination:

    • Plan, execute, and oversee capital improvement projects to maintain and upgrade facilities and machinery.
    • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with organizational quality standards.

  • Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:

    • Ensure all maintenance work adheres to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Lead regular safety checks, audits, and training sessions to reinforce compliance.

  • Problem Diagnosis & Technical Leadership:

    • Troubleshoot technical malfunctions and operational breakdowns, identifying swift and effective solutions.
    • Collaborate with other departments to address facility and system concerns.
