Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Valid Connecticut State Certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience in assessing students, providing counseling, and supporting academic and emotional needs
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Knowledge of assessment tools and data interpretation to inform decision-making
- Experience working with students with diverse learning and emotional needs
Position Overview:
Soliant Education is looking for a School Psychologist to join a school district in Meriden, CT. This full-time position involves providing psychological services to students to promote their academic, social, and emotional well-being. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing intervention strategies, providing counseling services, and collaborating with teachers and parents to create a supportive learning environment. What Youll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students, including cognitive, emotional, and behavioral assessments
- Provide counseling and mental health services to students, individually or in small groups
- Develop intervention strategies and recommend behavioral support plans for students in need
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to address student concerns and ensure academic success
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, IEP meetings, and crisis intervention planning
- Provide training and resources to teachers and staff to help address student mental health needs
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress
