We are a well-established geriatrics practice specializing in Medicare Risk and we are seeking a Bilingual Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, reliable, and highly skilled, with a strong proficiency in phlebotomy.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Interaction: Verify patient information by interviewing patients, recording medical histories, and confirming the purpose of the visit.
Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests such as blood pressure, weight, and temperature checks. Summarize patient history accurately for the physician.
Confidentiality & Record Keeping: Safeguard patient confidentiality by completing and maintaining medical records, diagnostic coding, and procedure coding.
Counseling: Counsel patients by transmitting physician orders and answering questions about procedures and surgeries.
Surgery Coordination: Schedule surgeries by coordinating with the surgical center, confirming times with patients, and preparing necessary charts and forms.
Inventory & Equipment Management: Maintain a safe and efficient work environment by managing supplies and ensuring equipment operates smoothly.
Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with job knowledge through educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
Practice Standards Compliance: Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, and contribute to the overall success of the practice by exploring new opportunities to add value.
Qualifications:

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required
Strong Phlebotomy Skills are a must
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required to effectively communicate with our diverse patient base
Experience in a geriatrics or Medicare Risk environment is highly preferred
Ability to build trust and maintain patient confidentiality
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Compassionate, friendly demeanor with the ability to manage a busy practice
Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team
