Our client, a leading organization in the export compliance industry, is seeking a Sr Export Compliance Officer to join their team. As a Sr Export Compliance Officer, you will be part of the International Trade Compliance department supporting various IT teams. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be proactive, well-organized, highly motivated, and have knowledge of Department of State, ITAR and Department of Commerce, EAR regulations.

Job Title: Sr Export Compliance Officer

Location: Charlotte, NC

Pay Range: $35-38 per hour

What's the Job?

  • Act as a liaison between International Trade Compliance (ITC) and the Information Technology (IT) department.
  • Ensure compliance with the U.S. export laws and regulations and all export approvals for the organization.
  • Ensure support of export control policies and procedures business-wide through training programs, both formal and informal communications with IT and SAP departments.
  • Perform GTS transactional audits.
  • Implement corrective actions related to IT resulting from audits or customer requests to ensure export compliance.

What's Needed?

  • BS/BA in Information Systems or Computer Science beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Department of State, ITAR and Department of Commerce, EAR preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, well-organized, highly motivated for high performance levels working independently.
  • Experience/knowledge of client server applications architecture (SAP/GTS beneficial).
