We are seeking a proactive and strategic Senior Accountant with excellent communication skills to join our team. This role is key to the smooth execution of our financial operations, including journal entries, analysis, account reconciliations, and reviews with the internal finance team. The position is 100% remote, and the individual will contribute to a range of areas like Fixed Assets, Internally Developed Software, Leases, Rent Allocation, and more.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform tasks such as journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations.
  2. Manage Fixed Assets - additions/disposals/depreciation, Internally Developed Software, Leases, Rent Allocation, and more.
  3. Work on Prepaid and Internally Developed Software Amortization, Intercompany Allocations, Benefits Allocations.
  4. Be available during Pacific Time zone working hours (9am - 5pm), and potentially later during close.
  5. Assist other team members as needed, as we have a small team with tight deadlines.









We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Manager based in Walnut Creek, California. The role encompasses the management of accounts payable processes within our industry, fostering vendor relationships, and implementing process improvements for efficient workflows.


Responsibilities:


• Oversee the entire accounts payable process to ensure timely payments to vendors and accurate data entry.

• Develop and implement improvements in processes and automation to enhance the efficiency of accounts payable workflows.

• Manage relationships with vendors to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.

• Reconcile accounts regularly to maintain accurate financial records.

• Supervise the accounts payable team, delegate tasks, and monitor performance to ensure optimal productivity.

• Ensure strict adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls within the department.

• Utilize software such as Workday and Excel to manage accounts and improve processes.

• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate discussions with vendors and other stakeholders.

• Leverage your expertise in Accounts Payable (AP), Account Reconciliation, and Direct Supervision to fulfill job duties effectively.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as a Senior Accountant; Workday experience is a plus.
  2. Must be an active listener with excellent communication skills, and the ability to take the initiative.
  3. A team player who works well cross-functionally and adds value to operations.
  4. Strategic and consultative thinker; proactive in identifying and executing tasks.
  5. Advanced Excel skills.
  6. The ability to meet tight deadlines and pitch in as part of a small team.
  7. Availability during Pacific Time Zone working hours and potentially later during close.
