Staff Accountant

Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular reconciliations of ledger and bank accounts
• Collaborate with the accounting team to enhance financial procedures and boost efficiency
• Oversee and manage fixed assets and maintain the asset register
• Aid in the preparation of financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Handle sensitive financial information in a confidential manner
• Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process
• Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and manage daily transactions
• Perform monthly reconciliations and assist in the month-end closing process
• Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies or inconsistencies.• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is essential
• Knowledge of General Ledger and Journal Entries is required
• Familiarity with Month End Close processes is a must
• Proficiency in NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP is preferred
• Must understand Debits and other basic accounting principles
• Previous experience in steel manufacturing industry is desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Must adhere to strict confidentiality and data protection protocols.
