Summary
They will demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment as necessary. Other tasks include but are not limited to usage of computer software, PLC troubleshooting, data collections, calibrations, write preventative maintenance procedures and component level troubleshooting and repair.
Essential duties and/or Functions:
- Has substantial understanding of the job, equipment and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks
- Works on assignments that are difficult, requiring sound judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations
- Able to prioritize scheduled work and meet business demands on a daily basis.
- Ensure compliance with Avon's Safety Policies
- Conscientious of the facility and equipment status; Escalate issues in a timely manner
- Fully Competent in Maintenance Mechanic II requirements/responsibilities
- Review Maintenance Work orders Daily
- Follow through and close pending SBUM's
- Order materials as needed and confirm inventory material usage
- Bring forward improvement ideas, and facilitate projects
- Ensure maintenance passdowns are sent out daily
- Participate in maintenance tier board meetings
- Attend production department tier meetings
- Ensure the maintenance shop is clean at the end of shift
- Ensure all waste and hazardous waste is disposed of per regulations and company policy.
- Assist with creating and or updating PM Tasklists
- Participate in MOC, Kaizens, PSSR, RAP, and IQ/OQ activities
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Weekend work
- Working overtime
- Working on holidays as needed
- Short notice shift coverage
- Frequent physical demands (i.e.: lifting up to 40 lbs.)
- Possess a [High School Diploma/GED] or higher
- Typically requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience or equivalent demonstrated competency
- Preferred/Desired Skills or Experiences: (Characteristics/Skills/Experiences that are not required but are preferred)
- Able to work in a team environment and show flexibility with job role.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal.
- Ability to read complex schematics, electrical and electronic drawings.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLC ladder logic, and CNC equipment.
- Competent in all Maintenance Mechanic II tasks/requirements.
- Willingness to learn lead responsibilities/tasks as assigned by management.
- Strong competencies in electrical and mechanical technology.
- Basic computer knowledge demonstrated use of SAP.
