Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Stationary Engineer to maintain the mechanical maintenance operations for our buildings. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of expertise in mechanical maintenance and at least 3 years of experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS). The Stationary Engineer should hold a valid/current California Building Operators Certification (BOC) and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft applications. Additionally, the candidate should possess strong effective communication abilities and experience in supply and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain mechanical maintenance activities for buildings.
  • Ensure optimal operation of Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Assist in permitting processes at Federal, State, and Local levels, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and laboratory systems.
  • Read and interpret technical documents such as diagrams, plans, manuals, and schematics.
  • Utilize Microsoft Applications for reporting, data analysis, and project management.
  • Manage supply and inventory for maintenance operations.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of expertise in managing mechanical maintenance for buildings.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Valid/current California Building Operators Certification (BOC).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and laboratory systems.
  • Experience in supply and inventory management.
  • Strong supervisory skills and the ability to direct operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Certification in Facilities Management (CFM) or similar credentials.
  • Experience with facilities management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of building systems and infrastructure.

Work hours 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday.
