We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Revenue Cycle Associate / Analyst, ideally located in East Hartford, Connecticut. This remote role involves administering structured processes related to the Charge Description Master (CDM) and handling appeals related to Revenue Integrity across healthcare systems. The successful candidate will work on optimizing methods to increase cash activity and minimize revenue leakage through direct oversight of high-quality and cost-effective services.


Responsibilities:

• Handle appeals related to Revenue Integrity within the healthcare industry.

• Develop and implement methods for automation to eliminate waste and increase efficiency.

• Monitor and manage customer accounts, taking appropriate action when necessary.

• Collaborate with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services for financial decision-making.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications.

• Identify and communicate external developments of the revenue integrity process, such as regulatory changes and new technologies.

• Directly oversee high quality and cost-effective services to minimize revenue leakage.

• Utilize coding skills in an acute care hospital setting.

• Perform ad hoc financial and revenue accounting tasks as needed.

• Demonstrated expertise in Compliance, Quality, Cash Activity, Finance, and Revenue Accounting.
• Proficiency in performing Ad Hoc Financial tasks and in utilizing Automation and Optimization methods.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with different teams and departments.
• Knowledge of Coding, HealthCare.gov, Medicare, Medicaid Services, and Acute care is necessary.
• Strong decision-making skills and experience in handling Appeals.
• Proven ability to implement cost-effective solutions and improve Revenue Cycle Processes.
• Experience with Direct Oversight and Revenue Integrity is essential.
• Must have a clear understanding and experience in Revenue Accounting.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Must have a strong sense of professionalism and integrity.
