Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLHH Recruitment Solutions is working with one of our clients looking to fill a Payroll Clerk job opportunity for the corporate office located in Sacramento, CA. This position is 100% in-office The ideal candidate will have experience within the construction industry and be well-versed in handling a certified payroll. The role will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for construction projects and will be essential in maintaining compliance and supporting payroll operations.

Responsibilities:
Process payroll for construction workers accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Handle certified payroll reporting in accordance with government contracts and Davis-Bacon Act requirements.
Verify and maintain accurate employee records, including hours worked, benefits, and tax deductions.
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies.
Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations affecting the construction industry.
Prepare payroll reports for management and external stakeholders as required.
Assist in year-end payroll activities and reporting.

Qualifications:
Solid payroll fundamentals and an understanding of federal and state payroll regulations and tax laws.
Construction industry experience preferred.
Proficiency in certified payroll reporting required and knowledge of the Davis-Bacon Act.
Proficient with payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communications and interpersonal skills and Spanish preferred
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Experience: 3 years of Payroll experience (Payroll Clerk, Payroll Administrator, Payroll Specialist, Payroll Coordinator, Payroll Technician)
Employment Type: Temp to Perm

Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
