Managing Editor

 

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a managing editor with 5 or more years of experience for a contract to hire opportunity for a non profit organization in Baltimore, MD. This role is hybrid 2 days in office 3 days work from home. This is a great role that offers the opportunity to work with a results-oriented and dedicated team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the Editorial Boards including the Online Content Editors, Survey Editors, and the Statisticians.

  • Actively partner with the Editorial Boards, Director of Publications, and EVP to develop and implement strategies to expand the reach and impact of the journal.

  • Develop and implement peer review, editorial, and production strategies and efficiencies.

  • Oversee all primary functions for 2 journals ensuring timely publication of both titles.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism or related fields.

  • Experience working with Editorial Boards, senior level executives, Councils, and Committees.

  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.

  • Excellent copyediting and writing skills.

  • Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and projects at a time.

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years of editorial experience

 

Employment Type: Contract to Hire

 

Compensation: $40.00-$44.00 per hour



Pay Details: $40.00 to $44.00 per hour
