Position: Special Education Teacher
Overview: ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at . You will collaborate with educators, parents, and specialists to ensure every student receives the personalized attention and resources necessary to thrive academically and socially.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the varying learning styles and abilities of students.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and technologies to engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and other specialists to support student learning and development.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Valid PennsylvaniaSpecial Education Teaching License or eligibility for certification.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques and positive behavior support strategies.

About Antietam School District: The Antietam School District is located in Berks County, southeast and adjacent to the City of Reading. The district encompasses approximately 5.3 square miles and is comprised of two municipalities: Mt. Penn Borough and Lower Alsace Township. As a predominantly residential community with little commercial and industrial businesses, the district currently serves approximately 1100 students in a community of 7500 residents.

Interview Process

  • 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Recruiter
  • 20-30 minute virtual/in-person interview with school district
  • Offer is typically within 24 hours of virtual interview

As a ProCare employee, you will be paid on a weekly basis through direct deposit. Your hourly rate will be dependent upon your experience and education.
