Job Opportunity

New Story Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in the success of our students with Autism Support or Emotional Support needs in grades K-12.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Create engaging lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of students, incorporating modifications and specially designed instruction.
• Submit required documentation, including lesson plans, IEPs, report cards, and progress reports, in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to design and implement appropriate services for students.
• Establish clear expectations for student behavior and implement behavior management strategies to maintain a safe and effective learning environment.
• Deliver classroom instruction in a meaningful way, enabling students to progress toward IEP goals.
• Provide guidance, leadership, and direction to staff within the classroom.
• Conduct educational assessments and record/interpret data.
• Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with agency policies and regulations.
