Job Description

• Utilizes various types of machine shop equipment to perform machining operations on materials including, but not limited to steel, brass, bronze, etc. to produce parts and fixtures to run production. 
• Creation and optimization of CNC programs on the CNC machine through use of G-code programming (e.g., CIMCO Edit).
• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high quality parts in single piece and series production.
• Selection of tools and fixtures to meet the requirements of the new production line.
• Proven knowledge and skills in operating and programming CNC Machines.
• Monitor manufacturing processes and react as necessary to maintain proper operation.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide input and ideas for process improvement and optimization (e.g., 6S, SMED)
• Maintain accurate records of production data, such as part counts and cycle times.
• Identify and troubleshoot problems that arise during the manufacturing process to ensure high quality production.
• Creation of machining processes for lathes with live tooling.
• Providing technical knowledge to support the acquisition of new machines.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
