Position: Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer
Location: Columbus, OH
Job Type: Full-Time, On-site

We are an established consulting engineering firm providing civil, water/wastewater, environmental, transportation, mechanical, and electrical engineering and construction management services to public and private sector clients. Our firm is dedicated to delivering technical excellence and innovative solutions in water and wastewater engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Provide technical support and leadership for water and wastewater projects, including the design and oversight of water treatment plants, distribution systems, wastewater treatment plants, collection systems, stormwater systems, and pumping stations.

· Conduct research, planning, and design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including the creation of construction documents and specifications.

· Guide and mentor junior engineers to ensure high-quality project delivery that meets industry standards for design, safety, and functionality.

· Organize and supervise engineering activities, managing budgets, deliverables, and project schedules.

· Represent projects and the firm in meetings and conferences.

· Ensure engineering services comply with professional standards, client requirements, and project objectives.

· Develop innovative design solutions for local and state municipalities related to water and wastewater infrastructure.

· Collaborate in problem-solving within a team environment to address project challenges.

· Build and maintain relationships with owners, contractors, and sub-consultants.

· Contribute to the growth and management of the water and wastewater group within the firm.

· Engage in client development activities, including proposal preparation and presentations.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related discipline (Master's Degree preferred).

· 15+ years of relevant experience in engineering with prior water/wastewater design experience.

· Professional Engineer license required in Ohio (multi-state license is a plus).

· Proficient in water/wastewater design principles, practices, and applications.

· Extensive experience in planning, design, and management of water treatment and distribution systems, and wastewater facilities.

· Strong knowledge of water/wastewater codes, regulations, and compliance practices.

· Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

· Strong written and oral communication skills.

· Flexibility to meet varying schedules and adapt to changes in a fast-paced work environment.

· Occasional travel may be required based on project needs.
