Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Field Technician to perform essential testing and data collection tasks at established monitoring points. You will work closely with the project manager to ensure the functionality of sensors and equipment. This role involves hands-on work with machinery both indoors and outdoors, frequent travel, and interaction with customers and co-workers.
Responsibilities- Perform testing to assist the project manager in data collection at monitoring points.
- Test sensors inside machinery, replace if malfunctioning, and document any issues.
- Use basic hand and power tools for various tasks.
- Travel (car and air) to different client sites as needed.
- Follow work instructions, adhere to safety rules, write reports, send emails, and interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Operate a two-way radio and utilize basic computer systems for documentation and communication.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or construction environments.
- Ability to travel 75% or more of the time.
- Capability to handle heights up to 150 feet with safety training.
- Proficiency in using basic hand and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass an MVR check.
- Diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
- Experience working in challenging elements.
- Experience with grain elevators.
- Previous work at significant heights.
- Basic computer skills for data input and email communication.
- Strong customer service skills and professional representation of the company.

Work EnvironmentOur service work is primarily conducted within a 50-mile radius of Toledo, but we also operate nationally. Most tasks involve servicing bearing sensors on grain elevators. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential for extended hours and occasional weekends based on workload. This is a non-union environment where you will travel in a company vehicle with a data collector/field tester, with the goal of eventually having your own vehicle for travel.
