Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year. In this role, you will collaborate closely with educators, parents, and specialists to ensure each student receives personalized attention and resources needed for academic and social success.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Tailor instruction to accommodate the diverse learning capabilities of students.
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques and technologies to engage students effectively.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods as necessary.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and specialists to support student growth.
- Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid Alaska Special Education Teaching License or eligibility for certification.
- Experience working with students possessing diverse learning needs and disabilities.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and positive behavior support strategies.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
