Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.

  • Provide direct instruction, accommodations, and modifications to students with disabilities to ensure access to the curriculum.

Requirements
  • A valid Alaska teaching certificate with an endorsement in special education.
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, and to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a professional environment with a wide variety of individuals, including students, parents, and colleagues. The employee may be exposed to a video display and may be required to work in a variety of different settings.
