We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team in Uxbridge, MA. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to support students in their communication development in a collaborative environment.

Job Description:
As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide support in the assessment and treatment of students with communication disorders. You will help implement therapy plans and assist in creating a positive learning experience for all students.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting assessments and evaluations of students speech and language abilities.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans as directed by the supervising SLP.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in both one-on-one and group settings.
  • Document student progress and report findings to the supervising SLP.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to enhance student learning.
  • Maintain a supportive and encouraging environment for students.
  • Stay updated on best practices in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
  • Current Massachusetts SLPA certification or eligibility for certification.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
