We are seeking a Managed Care Paralegal to join our team in BURLINGTON, North Carolina. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity in the healthcare industry. As a Paralegal, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities including regulatory research, contract review and negotiation, and working with outside counsel.


Responsibilities:

• Conduct compliance and regulatory research within the healthcare industry

• Review and negotiate contracts, with a focus on managed care contracts

• Work collaboratively with outside counsel on various tasks and projects

• Assist in preparing and filing documents required for litigation and arbitration

• Create and maintain files for litigation and arbitration

• Handle and review medical records as part of your duties

• Conduct legal and internet research to support various tasks and projects

• Assist with the handling of legal-hold notices

• Manage service of process in compliance with legal standards

• Use your skills in legal research and understanding of healthcare regulations to contribute to our team.

• Proven ability to manage care contracts in a professional setting
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Medicaid Managed Care
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and their application in legal contexts
• Solid skills in conducting legal research, with an ability to analyze complex legal documents
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in law, business administration or a related field
• Prior experience in a similar role, preferably within the healthcare industry
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software.
