Position Title: VP of Commercial Brand (Music / Entertainment industry)

Department: Brand Partnerships

Reports To: Head of Operations / CEO

Location: London, UK or Los Angeles, US


Position Summary:

This position will spearhead the development and execution of impactful brand collaborations, sponsorships, and endorsements for the artists represented by the management company. This role demands a dynamic and creative professional who understands the intersection of music, culture, and commerce, and can secure deals that align with both the artist's and the brand's vision. The ideal candidate will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with brands, agencies, and partners, ensuring that partnerships deliver significant value for the artist, the brand, and the company.


Key Responsibilities:

Partnership Strategy & Development:

  • Identify and pitch new partnership opportunities that align with the artists' image, values, and fanbase

  • Build strategic relationships with key decision-makers at brands, agencies, and media companies

  • Conduct market research to anticipate trends, understand industry dynamics, and identify potential partnership opportunities

  • Outreach to brand and agencies to obtain new business

  • Activating multiple integrated marketing campaigns simultaneously for a wide range of deal structures, from one-off social posts to complex licensing deals

Contract Negotiation & Deal Management:

  • Lead all aspects of deal negotiations including terms, exclusivity, and compensation structures, ensuring maximum value for both the artist and the company

  • Draft and review partnership contracts in collaboration with legal teams to ensure terms are favorable and protective of the artist's brand

  • Manage the execution of partnership deals, including deliverables, timelines, and post-partnership analysis

Collaboration with Internal Teams:

  • Work closely with artists, managers, and creative teams to craft partnership ideas that align with artists' brands and career goals

  • Collaborate with marketing, digital, and tour teams to integrate brand partnerships into broader artist campaigns, tours, and album releases

  • Oversee content creation and brand activations to ensure seamless execution that stays authentic to the artist's brand

Brand Relationship Management:

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing brand partners and ensure successful renewals and long-term collaborations

  • Act as the main point of contact for brand partners, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations throughout the partnership lifecycle

  • Evaluate partnership performance using metrics such as reach, engagement, and sales, and provide regular reports to internal stakeholders

Thought Leadership & Innovation:

  • Stay ahead of industry trends in brand partnerships, influencer marketing, and digital innovations to keep artists at the forefront of cultural moments

  • Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to expand networks and keep up-to-date with emerging opportunities

  • Propose innovative ways to elevate artists' brands through collaborations in technology, fashion, lifestyle, and beyond


Qualifications & Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in brand partnerships, sponsorships, or business development in music, entertainment, or related industries

  • Proven track record of securing and managing high-value brand partnerships and sponsorships

  • Strong network of contacts within the brand, agency, and influencer marketing spaces

  • Deep understanding of the music industry, artist branding, and the nuances of artist-fan relationships

  • Excellent negotiation skills with a solid understanding of contract terms and deal structures

  • Creative, strategic thinker with the ability to identify unique partnership opportunities

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple partnerships and campaigns simultaneously
