We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician for a client specializing in identification and labeling solutions for a variety of industries.
Job Summary
As a Manufacturing Technician, you will be a key player in ensuring the seamless operation of manufacturing equipment and processes. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and repairing production equipment, performing quality control inspections, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring all products meet rigorous quality and compliance standards. The ideal candidate is proficient in mechanical and electrical systems, demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, and prioritizes safety and efficiency in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment to achieve production targets.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery and tools.
- Monitor production processes and adjust equipment settings to meet product specifications.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure adherence to established standards.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment and system issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, equipment status, and production data.
- Mentor and train junior technicians and new team members as needed.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to optimize processes.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing productivity.
- Communicate production delays, equipment failures, or quality concerns to supervisors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or degrees in fields like Industrial Technology or Mechanical Engineering are preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and maintenance.
- Strong skills in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and inspection methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work shifts or on-call as required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Capacity to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Comfortable working with heavy machinery and tools in a manufacturing environment.
