Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for a meticulous and efficient Accounting Clerk to join our team in the Real Estate & Property industry, situated in Palos Verdes Estates, California. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be tasked with handling various accounting functions, maintaining accurate records, and communicating with on-site managers to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and process invoices for accurate record-keeping.
• Input invoices into the accounting system in a timely manner.
• Prepare checks for mailing to ensure prompt payments.
• Maintain and file necessary accounting documents for easy retrieval.
• Reconcile vendor accounts to ensure accurate balance.
• Post monthly deposit ledgers, rent increases, and resident status change records for accurate tracking.
• Communicate effectively with on-site managers to address any accounting concerns.
• Assist the Head Bookkeeper as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle ad hoc duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Utilize Accounting Entries and Accounting Functions skills to perform tasks efficiently.• The applicant should have a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
• The candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience in the real estate and property industry is desirable.
• The ability to handle accounting entries accurately is required.
• The candidate should be familiar with general accounting functions.
• The applicant should possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed.
• The candidate should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• The applicant should have the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• The candidate should have strong problem-solving abilities.
• The applicant should be committed to maintaining confidentiality and upholding professional ethics.
• The candidate should be willing to continually update skills and knowledge in the field of accounting.
