We are looking for a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer to oversee the development and maintenance of tailored solutions, as well as Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes for various initiatives. This role will operate in a secure environment, with adaptable work hours to support a healthy work-life balance. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in cybersecurity across all facets of operations, including vulnerability management, compliance oversight, and enterprise information security infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Static Code Analysis tools (e.g., Fortify) and Dynamic Code Analysis tools (e.g., WebInspect) to assess and provide security insights on software code written in languages such as Java and C++.
  • Collaborate with software developers and relevant stakeholders to evaluate findings from Fortify or WebInspect, addressing any false positives.
  • Present security findings and the status of software releases to leadership.
  • Research and implement the latest DISA STIGs for system hardening and patch management.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, accompanied by 8 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • An active U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is mandatory prior to employment commencement.
  • Proven experience in Cybersecurity Engineering.
  • Familiarity with the latest DISA STIGs.
  • Proficiency in Static & Dynamic Software Analysis (e.g., Fortify, WebInspect).
  • A valid Security Certification in line with DoD M IAT-III (CISSP or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An advanced degree in a STEM discipline with over 8 years of engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of the NIST Risk Management Framework and associated security controls.
  • Experience in System Hardening and Accreditation processes.
  • A self-motivated individual capable of working with minimal supervision.
