Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Therapist to join our team at the Community Child Guidance Clinic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applied behavior analysis and a passion for working with individuals with social, emotional, and behavioral disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors.
  • Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment findings.
  • Provide direct one-on-one behavior therapy to clients, implementing BIPs with fidelity and making data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to establish treatment goals and objectives.
  • Provide ongoing supervision and training to behavior technicians and other team members.
  • Conduct regular progress assessments and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Facilitate the development and identification of resources and support information for clients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and other relevant information.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or higher in applied behavior analysis, psychology, special education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing behavior analysis services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Strong clinical skills in conducting functional behavior assessments, developing BIPs, and implementing evidence-based interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing the practice of applied behavior analysis in Connecticut.
  • Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
