Position Summary

We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our Customer Success / Professional Services team. This role involves the installation, configuration, customization, integration, debugging, and support of cloud-based platforms and software development environments that encompass a range of Wind River and third-party products. While remote work is feasible, candidates should be prepared for up to 40% travel, both domestically and internationally.

The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in cloud-native software development, service, or support, and demonstrate adaptability as a team player capable of swiftly mastering new technologies in a dynamic agile environment. Strong technical and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to provide technical leadership to junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure, including on-premise solutions and public cloud environments such as Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure.
  • Customize and configure infrastructure features utilizing tools like Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, and other cloud technologies.
  • Manage and maintain integrations between various tools, including Gitlab, Jenkins, JIRA, and others.
  • Adapt user interfaces and reporting functionalities of these tools to meet customer requirements.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of various cloud-native tools and their potential integrations.

Required Experience & Education

  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure platforms.
  • Proficient in Kubernetes, Docker, and EKS/AKS.
  • Hands-on experience with Git and Jenkins.
  • Background in Linux software development.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Go, and C/C++.
  • Minimum of 2 years in cloud-native DevOps roles.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software development, customer support, or professional services.
  • Solid grasp of software engineering workflows and developer tools.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and real-time operating systems/environments is advantageous.
  • BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with a wide range of cloud-native tools (e.g., Cloudify, Terraform, Podman, Helm, Ceph, S3/EBS, Hadoop, Tekton, Kafka, Nifi, etc.).
  • Web design experience utilizing DevOps principles with tools such as Node, Django, Ajax, CSS, Angular, JavaScript, PERL, jQuery, HTML/XML, PHP.
  • Multi-region experience with AWS and/or Azure.
  • Experience in implementing customer-specific AI/ML solutions (data science, analytics, ML models, databases, etc.).
  • Understanding of cloud-based security practices and hands-on experience (TLS/mTLS, penetration testing, threat assessment, etc.).
  • Possession of a government security clearance or the ability to obtain one is a plus.
