Key Responsibilities
  • Laser System Development
    • Design and develop laser-based systems for various applications, including laser welding, cutting, and surface treatment.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate laser systems with other equipment and software.
  • Process Development
    • Develop and optimize laser-based processes for material processing, including laser-material interaction and beam delivery systems.
    • Conduct experiments and analyze data to improve process efficiency and quality.
  • Technical Training and Support
    • Provide technical training and support to laser operators, engineers, and technicians on laser system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
    • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
  • Project Management
    • Lead projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality results.
    • Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and timelines.
  • Quality and Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements, including ISO 9001 and FDA regulations.
    • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure consistent quality and reliability.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in laser system development, process engineering, or a related field.
  • Skills
    • Strong knowledge of laser physics, optics, and materials science.
    • Experience with laser system design, development, and integration.
    • Proficiency in programming languages, such as C++, Python, or MATLAB.
    • Excellent communication and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Laser Experience
    • Experience with industrial lasers, including excimer, CO2, DPSS, and ultrafast lasers.
    • Knowledge of laser-material interaction and beam delivery systems.
  • Software Skills
    • Experience with CAD software, such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
    • Proficiency in machine motion control programming, such as G-Code.
