Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our STI Program team at North Central Community Health Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and education in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in continuing education to maintain knowledge and skills related to professional practice.
  • Collaborate with the Missouri Department of Health State on laboratory procedures and treatments.
  • Collaborate with other health care providers and coordinates delivery of indicated services for patients in the Sexual Health Clinic.
  • Accurately document and review patients complete sexual history, reason for visit and provider orders.
  • Orders and restocks clinic supplies including medications.
  • Dispense medication in accordance to Saint Louis County Department of Public Health Standing Orders.
  • Safely administer medication and observe ingestion according to the provider orders and/or standing orders using the 5 rights of medication delivery.
  • Chaperon providers during certain patient procedures.
  • Provide education on STI infection and teaching to promote healthy sexual behavior.
  • Retrieve messages from result line, verify identity of patient and provide results accompanied with education.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
  • Requires licensure as a Practical Nurse by the State of Missouri.
Selection and Appointment

A selection committee will evaluate the qualifications of each applicant, including recentness and appropriateness of the applicant's education and experience, answers to the supplemental questions, results of employment references investigated, and any other appropriate information available. The selection committee will admit to the interview only those persons who possess the most job-related qualifications and may establish admittance criteria beyond the minimum qualifications stated above.
