Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the North Central Community Health Center. As a key member of our STI Program, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting healthy sexual behavior.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in continuing education to maintain knowledge and skills related to professional practice.
  • Collaborate with the Missouri Department of Health State on laboratory procedures and treatments.
  • Collaborate with other health care providers and coordinate delivery of indicated services for patients in the Sexual Health Clinic.
  • Accurately document and review patients complete sexual history, reason for visit and provider orders.
  • Orders and restocks clinic supplies including medications.
  • Dispense medication in accordance to Saint Louis County Department of Public Health Standing Orders.
  • Safely administer medication and observe ingestion according to the provider orders and/or standing orders using the 5 rights of medication delivery.
  • Chaperon providers during certain patient procedures.
  • Provide education on STI infection and teaching to promote healthy sexual behavior.
  • Retrieve messages from result line, verify identity of patient and provide results accompanied with education.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
  • Requires licensure as a Practical Nurse by the State of Missouri.
