LVN Primary Care Nursing Float Pool Position at Sharp HealthCare

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a skilled LVN to join our Primary Care team as a Float Pool Nurse. As a Float Pool Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients in various locations throughout San Diego.
Responsibilities- Assist patients, staff, and physicians in maintaining a high level of efficiency and customer service while providing quality care to a designated patient population.
- Administer medications safely and accurately per guidelines and written order.
- Prepare patients for examination or procedure, obtain complete and accurate consent for procedures/surgery, and prepare and label biopsies in a thorough and accurate manner.
- Accurately document patient care per protocol and partner with physicians to continuously learn and expand clinical knowledge base.
- Use universal precautions and demonstrate knowledge of infection control policies and procedures.
- Provide assistance to PSRs in resolving issues related to front desk responsibilities, including scheduling and telephone management.
- Participate in clinical projects as directed by the physician or manager.
- California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - CA Board of Vocational Nursing & Psychiatric Technicians - REQUIRED
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association - REQUIRED
- 1 Year LVN experience in related clinical area
- Ambulatory care experience
- ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association - PREFERRED
- IV Certification (NPTA Sterile Product Certification) - Various-Employee provides certificate - PREFERRED
- Clinical skills: Demonstrates clinical knowledge and skill in assigned area and within scope of practice.
- Completes Quality Assurance (QA) assignments and ensures overall department compliance with requirements.
- Demonstrates knowledge of equipment and Information Systems applications.
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical skill and nursing judgment.
